Third generation Napa Valley natives Michael and Robert Crane and winemaker Al Perry have been making wines together since the 2001 vintage. Crane Brothers Napa Valley wines are all estate-grown, single vineyard, and very small production from the Crane Ranch Vineyard. Located in the Oak Knoll District, the 9-acre vineyard is planted on bench land and hillside, above the valley floor. The unique microclimate of warm sunny days and cool breezy evenings, along with careful custom hand farming allow the grapes to develop intense flavor, color, and aroma. Production is limited to less than 400 cases annually of each of four wines. |

Plush mid-palate explodes with mixed berries, black currant, spice box, subtle oak. 90 points, Wine Enthusiast 89 points, Robert Parker Silver Medal San Francisco International Wine Competition 2004 Merlot Crane Ranch Vineyard, Napa Valley Aromas of red roses, black cherry, mint and cocoa powder. Full rich flavors of raspberry, apricot, and sweet vanilla. Finishes long, with soft integrated tannins. 375 cases. 91 points, Wine Enthusiast Silver Medal, San Francisco International Wine Competition 2004 Brodatious Crane Ranch Vineyard, Napa Valley Red blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Petit Verdot. Extracted and intense, with blackberry, blueberry, crème de cassis, red currant.
