Since Bill Frazier, a retired airline pilot founded Frazier Winery in 1995, winemaker John Gibson has been making big, bold Cabernets and Merlots of great complexity and finesse from select lots of 100% estate fruit. Frazier is located just east of Napa in Tulocay, where cool-climate Bordeaux varietals gain wide recognition for their intensity of dark fruit flavors. A winery facility was built on the site in 2001, along with 10,000 square feet of barrel storage caves, which are now home to the tasting room. 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Classically structured Cabernet with aromas marked by sweet ripe dark cherry with notes of mocha, cinnamon, and a touch of anise. Plush, smooth tannins. Utterly rich and flavorful. 2004 Lupine Hill Cabernet Sauvignon A very approachable, lively wine. Ruby red in color, aromas of fresh cherries and cranberries. Flavors of strawberries, raspberries and herbs, surrounded by toasty oak. Aged 19 months in French and American Oak. 954 cases. 2004 Lupine Hill Merlot Fresh aromas and flavors of cherries and strawberries complemented by cedar, vanilla, and oak shadings. 368 cases. | TOP |
