Kokomo Winery focuses on Dry Creek Valley fruit with an emphasis on single-vineyard wines that show a distinctive terroir. Small production techniques and relationships with growers in Sonoma County are key factors in making wines that are as individual and unique as the vineyards they were born from. Winemaker Erik Miller is a native of Kokomo, Indiana—thus the winery’s name! 2006 Chardonnay Peters Vineyard, Sonoma Coast Very complex, boasting flavors of ripe melon and green apple with lively acidity. Done in a Chablis style with no secondary (malolactic) fermentation. 300 cases. 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Dry Creek Valley Flavors of ripe black cherry, chocolate, and black pepper. Excellent balance and complexity, finishing with silky smooth tannin and a hint of mocha. 623 cases. 2005 Zinfandel Perotti Vineyards, Dry Creek Valley Classic profile Zinfandel with bright acidity complemented by red raspberry, strawberry jam, and a lively spice.
