The Frisbie Family is dedicated to producing exceptional, estate-grown wines in the AVA known as “Suisun Valley” located on the Napa border. Ledgewood Creek, founded in 1989, encompasses 400 acres, 350 of which are planted to grapevines. Long known for its commitment to the best vineyard practices, Ledgewood Creek wines are crafted first and foremost in the vineyards, long before being placed in the artistic hands of winemaker Larry Langbehn. 2006 PQ Chardonnay Balanced and complex with classic Chardonnay flavor. The winemaker says “Here’s the story… we set out to make a high quality, affordably priced California Chardonnay and we did just that. No pretensions; just a really enjoyable, clear expression of Chardonnay from our 20 year-old vineyards.” 2006 PQ Sauvignon Blanc Distinct citrus fruit and crispness, with a lush, clean finish. Orange and lemon-lime citrus character carry through. 85 points, Wine Spectator Bronze Medal, San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition 2006 PQ Red Cuveé Blend 50% Merlot, 30% Mourvedre, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Bright, fresh red aromas of cherry and plum. Balanced tannins and a smooth fruit-forward taste. “A fabulous everyday drinking wine,” says the winemaker. 2006 Sauvignon Blanc Suisun Valley Fragrant with orange blossom and delicate lemon grass, with hints of cantaloupe and honeydew. Bright, fresh taste starting with green apple and tart citrus, then mouth-filling grapefruit and lemon. Primarily tank fermented with a short time in oak. 2006 Viognier Suisun Valley Distinct dusty floral aromas, delicate air of perfume and hints of fresh spices. Light body with crisp yet fruity flavor balance. 40% fermented in oak barrels. 2006 Three Clone Chardonnay Suisun Valley A fruity blast is followed by balanced aromas of butter, coconuts, toast and grapefruit. Beautiful flavor and finish are highlighted by harmonious mouth-feel and texture. 2005 Syrah Suisun Valley Beautiful dark purple-black hues with blackberry and currant aromas. Suisun Valley climate allows the Syrah grapes to thrive and achieve full varietal character. A burst of bright, fresh stone fruit aromas makes the wine sparkle. Excellent structure and tannin balance. 2005 GSM Red Blend Suisun Valley Blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedrč grapes. Highly flavorful with moderate acid level. Ripe red cherry and plum flavors with a strong, lingering finish. 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Concentrated, strong fruit with well-developed flavors. Dark fruit aromas include black plums and cherries with some dark toast. Initial flavor is a burst of fruit followed by mouth-filling flavor and gentle finish of fine-grain tannins. | TOP |
